FRENCH CLASS is an elegant and offbeat tour of the extremes of French culture. Entertaining, gently mocking, pédagogique in style, but this is no Eurotrash. The TV audience will be 'schooled' in the French approach to living, delivered over six loosely-themed episodes... L'Amour, Food, Wine, Lifestyle, Sport, and La Fête!
With indoctrinating charm, and a no-nonsense approach, our French Teacher will present each episode (or 'lesson') from her classroom studio. She'll be delving into each theme, explaining French concepts and building vocabulary. Our French Teacher will instruct the TV audience in the benefits of eating, living, and being French.
And to illustrate each lesson, we'll see the French in action. Via classy magazine-style reportage from every region, we’ll see our gallic friends doing their thing..
Witness them prune spitting, snail racing, frog jumping, duck plucking and lemon sculpting. Watch aghast as we pay homage to fromage, and worship at the temple of pâtisserie.
Get up close! From Pagan Witches to Parisian chic. From the wild pig hunters of Normandy to the yachts of St Tropez, we'll reveal the true variety and raison d'être of the French people.
